Falun Gong practitioners in Japan participated in the 5th Iichan Culture Festival in Kamiina-Gun, Nagano Prefecture on Oct. 31st and Nov. 1st, 2009 and introduced the benefits of Falun Gong.

On November 1st, Falun Gong practitioners from Sydney participated in the Carnival of Cultures in Ashfield. The Divine Land Marching Band performed at the event. Practitioners also demonstrated the exercises.

Falun Gong practitioners in Japan participated in an open market activity held at the stadium of Nagoya University on Sunday, November 1st, 2009. The practitioners handed out informational materials about Falun Gong and the persecution to participants, including local people and some Chinese.

On October 31st, the First Vice-Premier of China and member of the Chinese Communist Party Politburo Standing Committee, Li Keqiang arrived in downtown Brisbane. Falun Gong practitioners rallied outside Stamford Plaza to condemn the 10-year persecution of Falun Gong that is taking place in China.

The Falun Gong Society at the Taiwan Superior Court held its first group exercises during lunchtime on October 15th, 2009. The court staff enjoyed learning the five exercises from organiser Ms. Zhuang Huiping. She said that the society, which had been established and approved in mid-October, would provide staff members with another option for relieving work-related stress and improving physical and mental health.

Parliamentary Friends of Falun Gong (PFOFG) was founded in Ottawa by an all-party group of senators and members of Parliament concerned about adversities facing followers of Falun Gong. It is the first such group of Parliamentarians in the world lending focused support to the practitioners of Falun Dafa, that has suffered a decade of persecution in communist China.

Shen Yun Performing Arts, an artistic performance group that has swept the world, is scheduled to perform in Hong Kong in January 2010. People from all circles are looking forward to seeing the Shen Yun shows.

Falun Dafa practitioners were invited to participate in the annual Homecoming Parade at the University of Missouri in Columbus, Missouri, on October 24th, 2009. They promoted Falun Dafa to thousands of spectators.

On October 20th, 2009, Zhou Zhenhong, Member of Guangdong Provincial CCP Standing Committee, arrived at Kaohsing Airport, Taiwan with his delegation. Falun Gong practitioners held a protest and exposed the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s persecution of Falun Gong.

On October 21st, 2009, Falun Dafa practitioners demonstrated their exercises on the stage at the First Harmony Health Soul Fair at the South Bank Exhibition Centre in Brisbane, Queensland.

At noontime on October 15th, the Taiwan Supreme Court's Falun Gong Club held its first-ever group practise. Led by Mrs. Zhuang, court employees learned the exercises with great interest and joy. Mrs. Zhuang said that the club was formed to provide court employees with another choice for stress relief and cultivation of mind and body.

In a relaxed and peaceful environment, everyone shared their understandings of the Fa. The practitioners have improved based on the Fa and eliminated attachments, and they encouraged and helped each other find their shortcomings. They reached a common understanding on the importance of group Fa study and Fa conferences. Studying the Fa well is the only way to truly improve.

On October 17th, Falun Gong practitioners from Sydney attended the annual Granny Smith Festival in Eastwood. This was the 9th time that they were invited to this festival.

The Divine Land Marching Band in Taiwan appeared in historical Douliou City in southern Yunlin, Taiwan. The majestic music and magnificent atmosphere of the band impressed the audience. As one of the entries in the Yulin Music Carnival, the band brought local residents good cheer and peace.

An annual health expo was held on October 17th and 18th, 2009 at the Vancouver Convention Centre in Canada. Practitioners hosted a booth at the expo to help more people know about Falun Gong. Many people said that they had learned about Falun Gong and the brutal persecution by the CCP.

Recently, civilians attending a quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) rally in Ansan, South Korea were assaulted by thugs, likely backed by the Chinese Communist regime. Ansan Congressman Mr. Bai (phonetic spelling) said that this was a serious incident which cannot be tolerated and it should be treated seriously.

On October 11th, 200 people held a rally and parade in Chinatown, Brooklyn, to support the 61 million Chinese that have withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Dozens of Chinese people quit the party at the rally.

The satellite signals of NTDTV, an US-based independent Chinese news reporting network, have been interrupted on and off since September 17th, 2009. Many indications point toward the Chinese Communist regime's information blockade during its 60-year founding anniversary as the source of these interruptions.

October 3rd, 2009, was the Mid-Autumn Festival. The Malaysian chapter of the Divine Land Marching Band performed at the Golden Triangle in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, to celebrate the festival. At the same time, they brought local people the magnificence of Falun Dafa.

On October 5th, 2009, the Singapore Police arrested five Falun Gong practitioners who were doing exercise practice and truth clarification at Esplanade Park. They were handcuffed and brought back to the police station, and were told that they would be charged with "vandalising of public property". We are deeply saddened that the Singapore government has once again decided to take a share in the persecution of Falun Gong, notwithstanding that by doing so it becomes an accomplice to the Chinese communist regime.

Shen Yun Performing Arts graced the stage at the Canon Theatre in Toronto on Sunday for it's final presentation until it returns in January. Joining the packed theatre at Sunday's show were Mr. and Mrs. Finlason and their two children. Mr. Finlason operates a tourism business.

"It's heavenly and angelic and I just can't find the words for it. It evokes a lot of emotion inside my soul, my heart. You get a sense of peace and loving. It's what the world should be like," said Mr. Knor.

Legislator Wu Yu-Sheng said if the CCP interfered with Taiwan's satellite, no matter which TV channel's signal was disrupted, it should be prevented from happening. "There is freedom of media in Taiwan. I would be upset if the CCP blocked our signals."

One lady said she had heard about Falun Gong being persecuted in China, and today was her first time seeing Falun Gong in person. She said it was unbelievable that such a peaceful exercise is being persecuted in China.

On October 1st, 2009, China's National Day holiday, many tourists from China came to beautiful Mount Faber, a renowned tourist spot in Singapore.

October 3rd was the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. Many Chinese tourists took a vacation, visiting and shopping in Macao. Local Falun Gong practitioners held a series of activities at the busiest tourist spot, explaining the facts about Falun Gong and exposing the persecution.

On October 1st, the 60th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party coming to power in China, a rally and parade were held to support withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organisations. Several guests gave speeches at the rally.

At dusk, the practitioners lit candles and sat in the gentle wind to commemorate the fellow practitioners who were tortured to death by the CCP. The candlelight vigil also reminded everyone that in the past 60 years, more than 80 million Chinese people died unnatural deaths under the CCP.

Mr. Li Feng, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Anguo City, Hebei Province, has been held at the Hebei No. 4 Prison (Shijiazhuang Beijiao Prison) for a long period time and is now in critical condition. The Falun Gong Human Rights Working Group has sent the case to the UN through urgent-action procedures.

The International Truth-Compassion-Forbearance Art Exhibition was held in two places at the same time - the Taipower in Pingtung and Chang Gung University in Taoyuan. The exhibitions featured art works by Chinese and Western painters that are Falun Gong practitioners.

The 10th Annual Rhode Island Chinese Dragon Boat Races & Taiwan Day Festival on Blackstone River in Pawtucket was held on September 26th, 2009. Falun Gong practitioners participated in the festival as in previous years.

The Seventeenth Annual Sports Competition of Luchu County Kaohsiung was held on September 26th-27th. There were exciting performances, a torch relay, and an evening party, as well as the sports competitions.

Falun Dafa practitioners of Sydney were invited again to participate in the Bowral Tulip Time Street Parade on September 26th, 2009. The Bowral Tulip Festival is one of Australia's oldest and most beautiful flora festivals, held each spring in the beautiful Southern Highlands town of Bowral.

On September 28th, the Mid U.S. Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference was held in Chicago. Master Li sent a congratulatory letter to the conference, wishing it a big success.

The 2009 Asia-Pacific Human Rights Foundation awards ceremony was held on the evening of September 26th, 2009 in Baldwin Park, Los Angeles. When the host announced that Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong had been granted the "Outstanding Spiritual Leader" award this year.

On September 26th, over one hundred rights group representatives and people from all walks of life rallied at Sydney Chinatown to support the 60 million Chinese people who have quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organisations.

At a press conference on September 24, the Asia-Pacific Human Rights Foundation announced that Master Li Hongzhi has won its award of Outstanding Spiritual Leader for his contributions to improving morality and promoting traditional Chinese culture.

On September 20th, the Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Art Exhibition was held in Pulau Ketam Island, Malaysia. It was the second time that the exhibition has come to Malaysia.

On September 19th, for the 11th time, Falun Gong practitioners in Australia participated in the Toowoomba Flower Festival. Thousands of people attended the event.

After reading one of the flyers advertising Shen Yun Performing Arts, the Plante couple knew that they had to go see this world renowned show. "I've read a little bit about it [the show], studied a little Chinese and this is just such a treat to see - all this beautiful dancing and costumes. I really enjoyed it!" exclaimed Mr. Plante, who works in retail networks and security.

Mr. Smith, a computer programmer, and Mrs. Smith, a psychiatrist, were among the enthusiastic audience at the Merrill Auditorium in Portland on Saturday, September 19th, to see New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts as it debuted in Maine. "It's fantastic!" Mr. and Mrs. Smith exclaimed in unison, and Mr. Smith added, "It's beautiful."

The 7th Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference in Peru was held in El Condado Miraflores Hotel in Lima on the afternoon of Sept. 12th, 2009. Twenty-one Falun Gong practitioners shared their experience of studying Dafa, improving their Xinxing, exposing the persecution of Falun Gong and saving the sentient beings.

On September 13th, the Service Center for Quitting the Party in Toronto held a rally in Toronto's Chinatown to support the 60 million Chinese who have quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organisations.

"We believe China should be like other places in the world. It should allow people to have free souls and to pursue their faiths freely," said Dr. Dimant.

On September 12th, the Indian community in St. Louis, Missouri held a South Asian Culture Festival. Local Indian Falun Gong practitioners attended the festival and introduced Falun Gong. Over the course of the event they passed out stacks of informational materials.

Falun Gong practitioners in Chatswood, Sydney, Australia have participated in the annual local New Year celebration and exposed the brutal persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), while displaying the good demeanor Falun Gong practitioners.

From August 29th to September 6th, the fifteenth annual Book Expo was held in New Delhi. Falun Dafa practitioners rented a booth to introduce the ancient practice to people from all over the country as well as to international tourists. Besides providing fliers and other truth-clarifying materials, the practitioners also offered free classes.

The Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance International Art Exhibition includes forty-eight pieces of artwork created by more than ten Falun Dafa artists. The powerful pieces created with superb realistic technique received acclaim in Taiwan and around the world.

The annual California State Fair was held from August 14th to September 7th in Sacramento. Local Falun Gong practitioners had a booth at the fair every weekend, introducing Falun Gong and exposing the brutal persecution in China.

Falun Gong practitioner from Mid-Taiwan held an experience sharing conference from September 4th to 6th, 2009. The conference was held at the Leader House Hotel in Chang-hua County.

On September 4th, the court dismissed a challenge against Hong Kong's Immigration Department by four Falun Gong practitioners over their expulsion from Hong Kong in 2003. The appeals court judges criticised the Hong Kong government for not being "fair and frank" during the hearings into the expulsions.

The 89th Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance International Art Exhibition was held in the Metro Museum in Taegu, Korea, on August 25th-30th, 2009. This was the second time the Art Exhibition has been held in Taegu since last October. Citizens in Taegu have grown to love the Exhibition.

The "Hometown Ceremony" of Toda City, Saitama County, Japan is a large-scale festival which attracts nearly 100,000 visitors every year. On August 30th, 2009, students and teachers from the Minghui School participated in the 35th Hometown Ceremony to promote Falun Dafa to local residents.

One Goulburn man told a practitioner, "You have brought energy to Goulburn." He sat and talked to the practitioner for over an hour and wanted to learn the practice. A few others sat and learned some of the exercises.

On August 5th, 2009, Dr. Manfred Nowak, the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture, was interviewed by The Epoch Times newspaper, and he talked about the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

Ms. Yvonne Johnson, Mayor of Greensboro, North Carolina enjoyed last year's Shen Yun Performing Arts show so much that she vowed to give all city employees a 10 percent discount from the cost of this year's ticket, to encourage them to attend the show.

On August 27th, 2009, Amnesty International Philadelphia Branch held a conference and condemned the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong. A resolution was passed to send a letter to the CCP Secretary of Anhui Province, calling on the CCP to immediately release Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Tian Zhongxia from labour camp, stop the persecution of Falun Gong and abolish the "reeducation through labour" system in China.

On the evening of September 2nd, 2009, the annual Jilong Festival Parade was held. The Taiwan Falun Dafa Association was invited to participate for the third time. The Taiwan Divine Land Marching Band and waist drum team joined the parade and won warm applause.

"According to news reports, the Chinese government is applying pressure on the South Korean government to deport these Falun Gong practitioners to China, and we have been informed that several of them have already been deported.......we urge your government not to deport Falun Gong practitioners to China, but to find an appropriate way, within the South Korean legal system and the international conventions on torture and refugees ratified by South Korea, to permit Chinese Falun Gong practitioners to remain in South Korea."

Just before the Malaysian Independence Day, on August 30th, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Malaysia travelled to Port Dickson, a well-known tourist destination, and held a series activities to introduce Falun Gong to the local people and visitors.

On August 29th, 2009, the Divine Land Marching Band participated in the 2009 Annual Parade in Ibaraki, Japan and received warm applause along the route.

On August 30th, the final round of the Second Chinese International Violin Competition held by NTDTV concluded at Merkin Concert Hall, Kaufman Centre in Manhattan.

The eight-day Falun Dafa lecture seminar in Flushing, New York concluded on August 23rd. More than 40 people attended the workshop, including Westerners and Chinese of all ages, from 10 to 80.

Mr. Ye and his wife, both attorneys at a large law firm, were among the enthusiastic audience members at the Saturday afternoon performance of the New York based Shen Yun Performing Arts at the Kennedy Center Opera House in Washington, DC.

Dr. Cohn, a senior law professor at Georgetown University, and his granddaughter were thrilled to see Shen Yun Performing Arts for the first time at the Kennedy Center Opera House in Washington DC on Thursday, August 27th, 2009.

The preliminary round of the NTDTV Chinese International Violin Competition, sponsored by NTDTV, was held at the Kaufman Center's Merkin Concert Hall in New York at 12:30 p.m. on August 27th, 2009. Participants from Europe, America, and Asia entered the competition. Twelve contestants will move on to the semi-finals.

On August 22nd, 2009, the annual Grand Parade of Festival Cairns was held in the famous tourist city of Cairns in North Queensland, Australia. It was estimated to have 35,000 attendees. Falun Gong was invited to the event for the seventh year.
