On November 8th, 2008, Falun gong practitioners held an activity to raise awareness about Falun Gong at Kroepke Square in Hannover. They hoped to expose the crime of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners committed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and appealed to all people to help stop the persecution. Many people expressed their support for Falun Gong.

Saturday in Kroepke Square is full of shoppers. Many people paused at the Falun Gong information booth. Most of them were shocked and some became angry when they saw the displays describing organ harvesting from living practitioners. People visited the booth to sign the petition in a seemingly endless stream. Many people asked for detailed information about the persecution after signing their names.

A nurse whose job is assisting in organ transplantation surgery in a hospital told a practitioner that she was really sorry for those practitioners whose organs are being removed. She said there were some doctors from China in her hospital. She also mentioned the Tiananmen Square massacre. She said she had been to Tiananmen Square five days before the massacre, and she saw many students there who wanted democracy. She definitely believes that the CCP army opened fire and slaughtered many students. However, those doctors denied this and even said that it was the students' fault. Their attitude really disgusted her. Practitioners told her that this was the result of the CCP's lies.

A middle-aged man from Iran stayed at the booth for a long time. He read the booklet about Falun Gong being persecuted in great detail. He said, "In this world, everyone has a right to think and live according to their own ways, and this right should not be overruled by any political system or any politician." He was very sympathetic to the pain China Falun Gong practitioners have suffered. He said that he came to Germany in the time of Iran's Khomeini, and he deeply knew the importance of freedom of thought and speech for each person.

One German man said to practitioners, "The CCP is bad, and I knew this long ago. I don't like it. My company wanted to me go to China to work recently. It was a good position, but I refused. I don't want to work in a place without human rights. You are doing very well. Keep going."

A middle-aged man was very irritated after he read the truth-clarifying display boards. He said somewhat annoyed, "What is actually wrong with China is that Mao killed plenty of Chinese people in his time, but even now many Chinese people worship him." He couldn't understand why the Chinese people would worship a butcher, and why they didn't awaken.

Two German boys asked the practitioners about the black cage. They were astonished when practitioners told them that, in China, arrested Falun Gong practitioners were put inside such cages and then handcuffed. One of them asked for a newspaper and said that his sister understood Chinese. He wanted to take it to his sister to read.

When the day was nearly finished, a Chinese woman came to the information booth. She told practitioners she was from Taiwan and had gotten married in Germany. She said her sister is a Falun Gong practitioner and has told her many times that Falun Dafa is good and suggested that she practice. She said she had only done the exercises following tapes at home and wasn't sure whether she did them correctly. She asked if practitioners could correct her movements.

A middle-aged woman visiting Germany told practitioners that she found it unimaginable that a crime such as harvesting organs from living people even existed. She said she would go to Norway in two days and would tell her family and friends about the persecution taking place in China. She said she would check the websites listed on the leaflets and learn more about Falun Gong and why the CCP is persecuting it so badly. She said she hoped the Falun Gong practitioners would persevere.

Ms. Yang Wenling, a Falun Gong practitioner, lived in the Xiqing District of Tianjin City. Officer Liu Yu with the Liqizhuang Police Station in the Xiqing District conspired with multiple other officers from the District Police Department to ransack Ms. Yang's home. Then they forcibly arrested Ms. Yang in 2006. Liu and other officers also frequently harassed practitioners in his jurisdiction.

Ms. Yang was sentenced to one year in Banqiao Forced Labour Camp in Tianjin. She refused to give up Falun Gong, so Chinese Communist Party personnel forced her thumb print on a document that they wrote. The guards also incited criminals to beat her mercilessly and force-fed her with unknown drugs, causing her to become mentally unstable. Ms. Yang was forced to do physical work well over normal hours making paper cartons, which resulted in both of her thumbs being injured.

After she was released, the local Chinese Communist Party (CCP) personnel still did not leave her alone. Policeman Liu Yu frequently went to her home to harass, threaten, and intimidate her. He dispatched people to monitor Ms. Yang and tried to force her to give up practising Falun Gong.

The persecution caused Ms. Yang to suffer a mental breakdown, and sometimes when she goes out she cannot find her way home. At present she cannot lead a normal life.

Meizhou Prison in Guangdong Province persecutes Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioners who refuse to renounce their faith are subjected to prolonged, vicious torture that inflicts great psychological and physical harm.

Mr. Zhuang Zepeng, a practitioner, was sentenced to eight years. His legs were disabled. In Meizhou Prison, he was sent to the "strict discipline team" and was assaulted by other inmates. His face was badly injured, and his body had multiple wounds. Mr. Zhuang has not given up his belief in Falun Gong, and he is still imprisoned.

Practitioner Mr. Peng Huisheng was arrested and taken to Puning Detention Centre on March 18th, 2004. He was sentenced to four years in Meizhou Prison. He remained steadfast in his belief and didn't succumb to the prison's brainwashing.

In August 2005, Warden He ordered five inmates, including Xu Mingyi, Huang Zetong, and Liu Huihai, to assault Mr. Peng Huisheng. Mr. Peng sustained injuries to his head, face, and neck. Warden He watched this beating. Instead of stopping it, he turned a blind eye, permitting the inmates to continue. Those five inmates dragged Mr. Peng to the toilet and threw him on the floor. They then fiercely kicked Mr. Peng in the chest and legs, popping the buttons off his shirt. His head, face, neck, chest, and legs had multiple serious injuries. Mr. Peng has not yet fully recovered from the beatings. After the beating, Mr. Peng had difficulty eating and walking, and could not urinate for several days.

Later on, seeing that Mr. Peng could not be brainwashed, Warden He ordered three inmates--Liu Huihai, Huang Zetong and Zhu Haitong--to repeatedly strike and kick Mr. Peng in the head and chest in the dark. Mr. Peng's head bled heavily, and his chest was injured.

In May 2006, the director of the prison, Liao Fu; the deputy director of the prison, Yao; the director of the 610 Office¹, Wu; the deputy director of the 610 Office, Ye; and Warden He selected a dozen criminal inmates, including Xie Zhenguo and Huang Dadong, to torture Peng Huisheng. Mr. Peng was not allowed to move when sitting and was not allowed to sleep for over a month.

On March 17th, 2008, Mr. Peng should have been released, but he was transferred to a detention facility at Sanshui Law School on a joint mandate from Meizhou Prison, Puning 610 Office, and Chengdong Police Station. Mr. Peng was finally released on May 20th, 2008.

Practitioner Mr. Jun was sentenced to six years in Meizhou Prison. He was intimidated, berated, and assaulted many times. He was also tortured by being forced to sit without moving and was deprived of sleep. Mr. Jun was able to walk out of the prison in a dignified and upright manner.

Another practitioner of unknown name was sentenced to Meizhou Prison. He maintained righteous thoughts and actions and did not compromise. Correctional officers ordered inmates Xie Zhenguo and Xu Mingyi to beat this practitioner many times. They also tied him up. This practitioner was sent to the strict discipline team on several occasions and suffered brutal torture. He sustained severe injuries from the beatings, and his condition was serious.

Because practitioner Mr. Xie Hanzhu did not cooperate, he was intimidated and assaulted many times by Wen Xianshu. Mr. Xie was also subjected to the sitting torture and sleep deprivation.

Mr. Zheng Zeqiang was sentenced to three and a half years. Correctional officers ordered criminal inmates Xie Zhenguo and Xu Mingyi to beat Mr. Zheng, and to force him to stand still. Mr. Zheng was emaciated upon his release.

Mr. Lin Zepeng was sentenced to three and a half years. Correctional officers ordered criminal inmates Xie Zhenguo and Chen Yongping to intimidate and assault Mr. Li, who suffered great psychological and physical torment.

Mr. Fu Yangdong was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison. Because he refused to be brainwashed, correctional officers ordered criminal inmates to persecute him. He went on a hunger strike in protest. He is still detained in Meizhou Prison.

Mr. Li Liangxi was sentenced to seven years. He refused to be brainwashed and was tortured by criminal inmates, including Huang Dadong. Mr. Li is still in Meizhou Prison.

Ms. Shang Shiying is an employee of the Tangshan City Worker's Hospital in Hebei Province. On October 12th, 2008, officers from the Lubei District Police Department arrested her. Dong Zhisheng, an officer from the Diaoyutai Police Station, searched Ms. Shang and took her house key. Several officers, including Dong, then went to her home and ransacked it without anyone present from her family. When Ms. Shang's husband returned home later in the day, the police returned and ransacked the home a second time.

Ms. Shang is currently being held at the Tangshan City Detention Centre. She was originally detained at the Diaoyutai Police Station in Lubei District.

Ms. Shang is a medical worker who once suffered from hyperthyroidism. She had frequent fainting spells and had to be treated in the hospital. But after she started practising Falun Gong in 1995, she regained a healthy body.

After the persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20th, 1999, the officials of the Tangshan City Worker's Hospital detained Ms. Shang six times. They tortured her by forcing her to pull grass under the blazing sun during the summer.

In October 2000, the hospital officials detained her again and sent her to the Tangshan City First Detention Centre. Zhang Xin, an officer from the detention centre, was in charge of her. She was held in solitary confinement, placed in shackles, forced to sit on an iron chair¹, and not permitted to visit the toilet. After she held a hunger strike to protest this mistreatment, she was transferred to the Ankang Hospital in Tangshan City.

In 2000, Mo Shujun was in charge of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners at Ankang Hospital. He had Ms. Shang tortured using a method called "carrying a sword on the back": she was handcuffed with one arm over her shoulder and the other behind her back. They kept her in this position for so long that the handcuffs cut into her flesh. They also shocked her with electric needles.

Ms. Shang was also injected with unknown drugs, which left her in great pain. She was disoriented and unable to move her eyes or tongue. Her strong belief in Falun Gong gave her the strength to endure it; otherwise, she would have suffered a mental breakdown.

Officers at the Diaoyutai Police Station have persecuted practitioners on other occasions. In April 2007, officers from this station, including Zheng Tao and Li Yang, broke into the home of Ms. Zhang Zongsu and her husband, Mr. Li Guocai. The police ransacked their home and arrested the elderly couple along with their son. (He is not a practitioner and was released later.) Ms. Zhang was sentenced to seven years in prison and Mr. Li to four years.

On the morning of July 10th, 2007, officers from the Diaoyutan Police Station had Ms. Zhang Yueqin's home under surveillance. Later that day, they arrested Ms. Zhang, her husband, their son-in-law, Mr. Sun Fengli, and their daughter, Ms. He Yan. Ms. He was sentenced to forced labour and is being held at the Kaiping Forced Labour Camp in Tangshan City. Other family members are being held at the Tangshan City First Detention Centre.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Haijun of Zhangqiu City, Shandong Province began to practise Falun Gong in January 1999, and benefited physically and mentally. Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Gong, Liu has repeatedly suffered maltreatment.

In July 2005, Liu Haijun was arrested by police officers from the Zaoyuan Police Station because he distributed leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong, and handed out information material to people. Yu Baoqian from the 610 Office¹ sent Liu to the Wangcun Forced Labour Camp for one and a half years.

In 2007, police officers from the Longshan Town Police Station harassed Liu Haijun at his home many times, thus causing him to be unable to lead a normal life.

During the 2008 Beijing Olympics, personnel from the Longshan Police Station colluded with Guo Xiangchen (female), the Chinese Communist Party village branch secretary to allocate people to monitor Liu Haijun. Police officers from the Longshan Police Station closely followed him day and night. Liu was unable to withstand the harassment from the police and was forced to leave his home to avoid further persecution.

In late September of 2008, because a local villager reported Liu Haijun, he was again taken away by police officers from the Longshan Police Station, and detained for half a month. As Liu is single, his autumn grains could not be harvested, and the corn germinated due to lack of care.

On October 12th, when Liu Haijun put corn out in the sun, village secretary Guo Xiangchen asked him for a document regarding his release from detention. Liu said that he had lost it. Guo Xiangchen then reported this to the police station. On the morning of the 14th, two policemen from the Longshan Police Station arrived and demanded to see his release papers. Liu told them that he had lost them, and they wanted to search his home. Liu refused as he was busy with the autumn harvest, so they handcuffed him, held him to the ground and beat him madly. Liu's head had a big lump, many places on his arms were injured and bleeding, and his ribs were injured. Even today he has a hard time breathing normally. Liu shouted loudly "Falun Gong is good", so a policeman filled his mouth with corn kernels while many people gathered around. A police officer called the police station with his mobile phone, asked deputy manager Kang Gang and another police officer to get the key for the handcuffs, and then they ran away. Kang asked Liu to quickly go to the clinic for treatment. Officials from the village committee and police station completely ignored that Liu was injured and also did not accept any responsibility.

When I clarify the facts about Dafa, I proudly tell people, "I practice Falun Gong." When I say these words, I feel the wonder and dignity of believing in Master and trusting in the Fa.

At work, I put very little effort into concealing the fact that I am a practitioner and that I study the Fa. My colleagues openly play the "truth clarifying" CDs that I give them as well as the Divine Performing Arts DVD, without closing their office doors.

I have many wonderful cultivation stories to share regarding my path of validating the Fa, but the following three experiences stand out most vividly in my mind:

1. Righteous Thoughts Suppress a Person's Unrighteousness

One day in 2005, I called a taxicab to deliver Master's writings to a fellow practitioner. Shortly after I got in the taxi, I noticed that the driver had a very dark energy about him and he talked to me in a very seductive manner. Instead of being afraid of him, I suddenly felt a powerful sense of righteousness well-up inside me. As soon as the driver finished speaking, I quickly and firmly told him, "I am a Falun Gong practitioner." The driver looked at me and was stunned, and he didn't know what to say.

After a while, I began to silently send forth righteous thoughts. I started to tell him how practitioners cultivate their hearts and strive to be pure and kind. From the look on his face, I could tell that he was paying close attention to what I was saying.

When we were close to my destination, the driver said, "I admire you Falun Gong practitioners very much. Some of my customers are practitioners and they are indeed all very good people. On the other hand, I am an unprincipled person and have done many bad deeds in my life. As soon as I see a beautiful woman, I start to have lustful thoughts. The same thing happened when you got into my car. I don't like being this way but I just can't seem to control myself."

I said, "Then try to behave like a good person, starting today. You were not born with this bad trait. It mainly came from living in this morally-depraved society of ours. But remember always that doing good will attract good things into your life and doing bad things will cause you to meet with retribution." The driver nodded in agreement. After I got out of the car, he lowered his window and looked at me with a very relaxed, friendly expression on his face. I felt at that moment that a breath of fresh air had just been blown into his life.

2. Benevolence Touched a Taxi Driver

One day a fellow practitioner and myself took a taxi to a train station. On the way there, we started to chat with the driver in an attempt to clear up any misconceptions he might have about Falun Gong. All of a sudden he asked me, "Are you a Falun Gong practitioner?"--to which I replied, "Yes." Then he said, "I think I should take you to the local police station, not the train station." Instead of answering him, I calmly looked at him straight in the eyes, as the practitioner in the back seat sent forth righteous thoughts.

After a short silence, the driver said, "Do you hate me a lot?" I said, "No. I was just thinking that we have chatted the whole way and we have expressed our views on many matters. It seems to me that you should be able to see my true nature. But instead, you said such threatening words. I feel very sad. It must be because I haven't cultivated well enough to have touched you with my benevolence." The driver didn't say a word, so my practitioner friend and myself continued talking.

Before arriving at the train station, this practitioner shared some of her security concerns with me and suggested that we ask the driver to let us out as soon as he could. When he stopped on the side of the road, I paid him and we got out of the car. Just as I was about to close the door, the driver hurriedly said, "You are a good person, you are absolutely a good person." I smiled, and handed him a keepsake imprinted with the words "Falun Dafa is good," which he happily accepted.

3. A Driver Went Out of His Way to Take Me to Work

One morning in 2006, due to an urgent matter at my work unit, I decided to take a taxi to to work instead of taking the company bus. Normally the fare from my home to my work unit would be about ten yuan (where I live it is a common practice to bargain with a taxi driver before getting into his car).

Just as I got to the bottom of the stairs, a taxi pulled up to the curb offering his services. When I asked the driver what he would charge to take me to work, he said, "Twenty yuan." I told him, "Go away, I don't want to take your cab." The driver said, "Then how much will you offer?" I said, "No matter how little you charge me, I won't take your cab because all you think about is money."

The driver drove away, but then circled back, saying, "Tell me how much money are you willing to pay me?" We haggled with each other for a while until I realized that I was his only potential customer in sight. Feeling a little sorry for him, I reluctantly used his services.

After getting in his taxi, I said to him, "Do you know why I don't want to use your services? What you are charging for this trip is unfair. Generally the highest fare that I would expect to pay is fifteen yuan, and normally it's only ten yuan. But you're asking for twenty yuan, which is pure nonsense."

The driver said, "Nowadays, every taxi driver will cheat you if he thinks he can. If you don't know the correct price, then I will gain." I said, "What you said is wrong. In this world there are still good people who will not cheat people. You think that it is alright to cheat a person, but Heaven has eyes. I am a Falun Gong practitioner and I know this principle very well. Really, you must have a clear conscience when you do things."

Along the way, I spoke to him about many Fa principles, including the principle that good and evil have their respective rewards and punishments. He said, "I have lived for so long but no one has ever told me these principles. You are the first to tell me. When I was listening to you I felt very comfortable. Everyone I know is telling me how to avoid being bullied and how to cheat others out of their money. I feel very tired living this way. How wonderful it would be to live the kind of principled life you just described."

Upon arriving at my work unit, he refused to accept my fare. So I quickly dropped fifteen yuan on the passenger seat and walked away. The next morning, as I was about to board my company bus, a taxi that was parked directly behind the bus kept blowing its horn.

Since I was the only person in sight, I figured that the driver must have been trying to get my attention. When I approached the taxi, the driver noticed that I looked very confused and said, "Don't you recognize me? Yesterday morning I drove you to work. Today, I made a special trip to pick you up and take you to work."

After he spoke, I told him that I did recognize his voice but not his face. Since he insisted on taking me, I felt I had to oblige him. As soon as I sat down, I realized that I forgot to help him renounce the CCP (chinese communist party).

In the process of "clarifying the truth," I often run into people who don't want to listen to even a few words of what I have to say, but instead ask me in an offhanded way, "Are you a Falun Gong practitioner?" When I am confronted with situations like this, I generally reply, "What do you think? Actually, I really want to practice Falun Gong. The Falun Gong practitioners I know in my work unit are especially kind, and they are all in good health. All the stories that the state-run media broadcasts about Falun Gong are untrue. Everything they report is fabricated and designed to frame and slander Falun Gong. There used to be a lot of people practising Falun Gong in our area." Although the person I am talking to may not take a stand on Falun Gong right then and there, they at least heard the truth about Dafa.

When I say these words, "I am a Falun Gong practitioner," I feel very proud. When I meet former acquaintances of mine and don't have enough time to talk to them about Falun Gong, I try my best to at least let them know that I am still practicing Dafa. Why do I do this?

Everyone who knows me has witnessed the positive changes I have undergone since I began practising Falun Gong. They all know that I now enjoy my life and have a wonderful family and work environment. As a result, they won't readily be hoodwinked into believing the negative things they hear about Falun Gong on the news.

Some fellow practitioners are afraid that others might find out that they are practising Dafa. Actually, this thought alone can put their life in danger. Think about it, if we are unwilling to acknowledge that we are Dafa practitioners, then who in the Heavens will dare to protect us?

Of course, we should always pay attention to safety issues and rationally and wisely clarify the facts. If we want to tell others that we are Dafa practitioners, we should first examine ourselves to see if we have sufficient righteous thoughts and to see if we are really proud of being a Dafa disciple.

I started practising Falun Gong half a year ago. After a few months of personal cultivation, I want to say loudly to everyone in the world, "Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance is good!"

In February 2007, my mother suddenly passed away after an accidental fall. It struck me so hard that I felt like I could not go on myself. I could not concentrate at work. At night I could not sleep. I wanted to follow my mother. One of my neighbours, a practitioner noticed that I was constantly absent minded. He urged me to be more positive and told me to recite "Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance is good." As it is related to Falun Gong, I was a little scared due to prior Chinese Communist Party (CCP) propaganda. However, I had heard that Falun Gong practitioners were all good and kind people. I just had not had the opportunity to really get to know a practitioner.

The neighbour practitioner assisted me in quitting the CCP Youth League and in watching Teacher's lecture videos. Soon miracles happened. I could sleep at night, work with little physical stress, and my illnesses all disappeared. Later my celestial eye opened. My husband noticed the changes in me and started to practice Falun Gong himself. Now the illnesses, including ossein proliferation, prostatitis and deafness, that he had suffered from for years are all cured.

I am a new practitioner. A month ago, I started practicing Falun Gong with the help of a colleague of mine. Although I have not practiced for a long time, I have already truly experienced Teacher's benevolence and mercy.

One day while I was at work my leg that had once ached started hurting again. I sat down and massaged my leg for a long time but still could not stand up. My colleague said to me, "You look so full of pain. I want to tell you that if you recite a sentence sincerely you will be cured." I asked what it was. She said, "Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance is good." I realized it was Falun Gong that she was talking about. So I shook my head in suspicion. After a while, I said to myself, "I am feeling the pain anyway. Why not give it a shot."

During the following several days, I kept reciting the sentence and the pain disappeared. I also felt less stress at work. I started to believe it. After another few days, one of my persistent illnesses in my urinary tract came back to attack me, and again I couldn't work. I thought to myself, "This is so bad, I have to ask for leave again." Suddenly I recalled what my colleague had said before, so I started to recite "Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance is good." After a while, I felt completely relieved. What a miracle. In the past, even with medication I had to rest a whole day before feeling well again. I completely changed my view and came to believe in the power of Falun Dafa. I spoke in my heart loudly, "Falun Dafa is really good. I must start practising myself."

My husband suffered for three long years from a nettle rash. He had to take medication every day and would feel intense itching all over his body if he was late even a little in taking his medication. Because I had profoundly benefited from practising Falun Gong, he quit the CCP Youth League and I taught him to recite "Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance is good."

He has now not had medication for a month. Yesterday he told me, "Thank you for rescuing me from the pain." I said, "All we have obtained is from Dafa. Let's thank our Teacher."

The "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" International Art Exhibition opened in Shili Taipei City. The uplifting nature of the more than 50 world-class paintings attracted the attention not only of art lovers but also of casual visitors.

While visiting the exhibition, Mr. Huang Kunzhong, director of National Martial Arts Council, said, "No matter what kind of art it is, it must have deep meaning.
